Vintage Renato Zevi for Selig “Ellipse” Rocking Lounge Chair and Ottoman, 1970s

Designed by Renato Zevi for Selig in the 1970s, the “Ellipse” rocking lounge chair and matching ottoman feature a sculptural chrome-plated flat bar frame with sweeping elliptical rockers. Deep, button-tufted cushions have been newly reupholstered in a textured white bouclé, giving the set a fresh contrast against the polished chrome. The generously padded chair has a relaxed, low-slung profile, while the matching ottoman echoes the curved frame of the rocker. Made in Italy. No makers mark.

Condition: The chair and ottoman are in good vintage condition and have been newly reupholstered in textured white bouclé with new foam. The chrome-plated flat bar frames remain structurally sound and show age-related wear throughout, including areas of oxidation, surface scratches, scuffs, and some loss/dulling to the chrome finish.
