Vintage Johannes Andersen Danish Teak Highboard
Designed by Johannes Andersen, this Danish modern teak highboard is a beautiful example of Scandinavian craftsmanship with an incredibly functional interior. The clean exterior is accented by Andersen’s signature sculpted recessed pulls and stands on a refined tapered base that gives the case a light, architectural presence.
Sliding doors reveal an exceptionally versatile interior with adjustable shelving, four green felt-lined accessory drawers, a central bank of open shelves, and a mirrored bar compartment complete with black glass shelving—perfect for displaying glassware or spirits. The lower section features a full-width drawer flanked by two additional felt-lined drawers, offering generous concealed storage while maintaining the cabinet’s streamlined appearance. Similar Johannes Andersen highboards with mirrored bar compartments and felt-lined drawers were produced in Denmark during the 1960s and are among his most sought-after case pieces. No makers mark.
