Pair of Hans Brattrud “Scandia” chairs for Hove Møbler, Norway, with sculptural bent teak slats and chrome sled bases. The layered teak creates that signature waterfall profile Brattrud is known for — light-looking but surprisingly comfortable once you sit in them. The warm honey tone of the teak plays nicely against the industrial chrome frames, giving them that distinctly Scandinavian balance of softness and structure.

These have a great rhythm to them visually from every angle, especially side-on where the slats almost read like a continuous ribbon of wood. Equally good as dining chairs, desk chairs, or just pulled into a room as sculptural accent seating.

Condition: This piece is shown in its current condition and will be reconditioned after purchase to meet our excellent vintage condition standards while preserving its vintage character. These chairs are in well used vintage condition. There are scratches, scuffs, and small dings throughout. There is a natural patina from age and years of hands touching the back rests over and over. The chrome frames have some oxidation throughout and some worn finish marks near the feet. Please see photos for full condition details.
