Vintage walnut Esprit desk designed by Merton Gershun for Dillingham. The desk has a raised lip running around the writing surface, two shallow drawers beneath the top, and a deep file drawer on the left. The file cabinet is visually separated from the desktop by a dark inset, creating the floating effect that distinguishes this design. The opposite side rests on two slim tapered legs, giving the desk an asymmetrical profile while still providing plenty of work surface and storage. Made in the United States, circa 1960s.

Condition: This piece is shown in its current condition and will be reconditioned after purchase to meet our excellent vintage condition standards while preserving its history and vintage character. If purchasing as-is, this piece is in used-vintage condition. There are general surface scratches, scuffs, and signs of wear throughout. The top surface has minor finish wear and fading throughout. Overall, the desk is in good vintage condition with the exception of a more notable chip to the veneer at the right corner, as photographed. All drawers open and close as they should.
