Danish Modern Teak Drop-Down “Varié” Bar by Arne Wahl-Iversen for IKEA

Designed by Arne Wahl-Iversen for IKEA, the “Varié” bar cabinet is a clever example of Danish modern design that blends form and function. Crafted in warm teak, the cabinet features a drop-front door that opens to reveal a mirrored bar with integrated lighting, while the lower cabinet provides additional enclosed storage with adjustable shelving. Sculptural recessed pulls and an open sled-style base give the piece a light, architectural feel, making it just as striking closed as it is opened for entertaining. No maker’s mark.

Condition: This piece is shown in its current condition and will be reconditioned after purchase to meet our excellent vintage condition standards while preserving its vintage character. This piece is used vintage condition. This piece is in well used, vintage condition. There are scratches, scuffs, ding and small dents scattered throughout. There is a small gouge on the bottom on the right leg (photographed). All doors open and close as they should. There appears to be a repaired piece of veneer along the left side under the drop-down (photographed). This piece is structurally sound. There are some surface scratches on the black glass surface and areas along the edges where the black finish under the glass has peeled off, as photographed.
