American of Martinsville Walnut Lowboy Dresser with Mirror

Long walnut lowboy dresser by American of Martinsville with nine drawers and original mirror. Features softly beveled drawer fronts, integrated pulls, and tapered legs with carved detailing. The mirror has a subtle curved top edge that plays nicely against the otherwise clean linear form of the case.

The walnut has a warm, even tone with visible grain variation across the drawer fronts and top. The scale works especially well in larger bedrooms, though it could easily function as a credenza in a living space or entry as well. A solid, versatile American modern piece with a quieter profile than some of the more overtly sculptural lines from the period.

Condition: This piece is shown in its current condition and will be reconditioned after purchase to meet our excellent vintage condition standards while preserving its vintage character. This piece is in well used vintage condition. There are scratches, scuffs, dings and worn finish throughout. The right side has a chip in the veneer along the bottom edge. The top of the drawer have where from years of hands opening and closing them. All drawers open and close as they should with the exception of the bottom middle and the bottom right. The two mentioned drawers need a little lift to close all the way. The top surface has wear, worn finish, surface scratches, and water rings present. Please see photos for condition details.
