1960s Johannes Andersen Danish Modern Teak Highboard Cabinet

1960s Danish Modern teak highboard by Johannes Andersen. This large storage cabinet has sliding doors throughout, four drawers across the center, tapered legs, and small recessed wood pulls. Inside is a mix of adjustable shelving, green felt-lined pull-out trays and a bar compartment with a black glass shelf. The long sculpted drawer pulls and raised edges along the top add some of the best details to an otherwise simple case. At nearly 79 inches wide, there is a lot of storage packed into this piece while keeping everything concealed behind the sliding doors. Similar examples of this design are documented from Denmark during the 1960s.

Condition: This piece is shown in its current condition and will be reconditioned after purchase to meet our excellent vintage condition standards while preserving its history and vintage character. If purchasing as-is, this piece is in used-vintage condition. There is finish fading and wear throughout, along with scattered scratches, scuffs, dents, dings, and other signs of age and use. The top has areas of heavier finish wear and discoloration, as photographed. All doors and drawers open and close as they should. This piece is structurally sound.
