1960s Erik Brouer for Brouer Møbelfabrik Danish Rosewood Secretary Bookcase

Designed by Erik Brouer and manufactured by Brouer Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s, this Danish modern bookcase and secretary is crafted in richly figured rosewood. The upper section features open shelving with an adjustable top shelf, while the lower cabinet has a drop-down secretary door that opens to additional storage and divided compartments. The rosewood grain across the cabinet doors and drop-down writing surface is especially beautiful. Raised on tapered legs, the piece offers a great mix of display, storage, and workspace in one compact cabinet. No makers mark.

Condition: This piece remains in its original vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and will be sold as is. This piece is in used-vintage condition with scattered marks and wear consistent with age and use. There are minor scratches, scuffs, dings, and edge wear throughout. There are water rings on the top surface, as photographed. The drop-down secretary door opens and closes as it should. There appears to have originally been an additional drawer or shelf inside the secretary compartment, which is now missing. The upper shelf is adjustable in height.
